Involver: How Nonprofits Can Create Video Campaigns for Social Networks.
Catherine helps develop vibrant communities that bridge online and real-world activism, and is the Chief Technical Officer for www.MomsRising.org . She’s a Senior Analyst with Grassroots Campaigns, Inc., helping to plan MoveOn.org Political Action’s 2006 Congressional field program and mange its Operation Democracy project. She began working with technology while on staff at Larkin Street Youth Services, developing data management solutions that supported the organization’s mission. She’s been involved in electoral campaigns, nonprofit advocacy, and technology infrastructure projects: MoveOn’s 2004 Leave No Voter Behind, Mainstreet Moms’ and Working Assets’ www.LeaveMyChildAlone.org, UCSF’s Community HIV prevention initiative Connect to Protect, and dotOrganize. She completed her undergraduate work at Columbia College in New York, has a Master’s in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley, and is licensed as a clinical social worker. She’s a recent transplant to Los Feliz, and is the new host of Net Tuesday LA.
