Join us for the San Francisco Net Tuesday on September 9:
Involver: How Nonprofits Can Create Video Campaigns for Social Networks.
Deepti Rohatgi is involved with Amplified Voices, a program in which high school students in the West Bank learn how to film, edit and produce short digital documentaries that share their perspectives on local issues impacting their community. The documentaries will be placed on an online portal that can engage the students and the larger development community in an ongoing discussion of the issues addressed by the documentaries.
Deepti is on a leave from her position as Director of Middle East IT and Telecommunications Policy at the United States Department of State. She has served as an Economic Officer at the United States Embassies in Amman, Jordan and Pretoria, South Africa. Ms. Rohatgi earned her M.S. in Industrial Engineering and B.A. in Public Policy from Stanford University.
Session: Watch the video, then read the book: video and illiteracy
