Ian Kennedy works in the Corporate Development group at Yahoo where he is focused on projects related to social media.

Prior to Yahoo, Ian was Director of Sales & Partner Development at Six Apart, a weblog software service provider.

Ian has also worked at Factiva, a Dow Jones & Reuters joint venture where he held roles in Product Management, Business Development, and North Asian Sales Director based in Tokyo, Japan.

He is also the founder and original webmaster of one of the web’s longest running weekly city guide sites, Tokyo Q, an English city guide for visitors and residents of Tokyo.  

Mr. Kennedy earned a B.A. at the University of California at Berkeley. He currently lives in the San Francisco area with his wife and two children.
