Tole-rants is an international multimedia project that harvests the communication of inspiring and creative solutions to social problems. It empowers anyone to record and share a 60 second video of hope in the form of a constructive rant (a tole-rant) that points to a solution. Videos are shared and voted on by the public.

Building a collaborative directory of the rooted economy
Our goal is to develop a democratically controlled, accurate, comprehensive, publicly searchable and updatable database of cooperative economic initiatives in North America. Rather than building just another website, we're experimenting with doing so in a (de-geekified) version of how programmers develop the open-source Linux code.
A vibrant movement for a cooperative and democratic economy is growing in North America. Offering innovative and effective alternatives to the “business as usual” of the distant, unaccountable corporations that dominate our economic, social and political landscape, cooperative enterprises and the organizations that support them are building an economy that truly works for people and the planet. But these efforts are often fragmented by geography, sector, and even organizational form. To succeed in changing the economic status quo, people need to find each other, help each other, work together, and be counted.

Discovering Human Rights
Challenges Entered:
Using mobile technology to discover ways of respecting human rights may help prevent the atrocities happening each day to millions of people. Our project offers educational material that explores how human rights can be better achieved in the twenty-first century. People will document and share examples of the way they express human rights in daily life situations. This includes creating a community image to bring together pictures, text and maps, while showing the unique contribution of each person. From this information, successful strategies for advocating human rights are suggested.

Telecommunicating Democratization mobilizes the development of a digital networked platform to enable public discourse in the context of the decentralised operationalisation of legislative instruments for right to information, livelihood and food security in rural India.
