“Make every day a Mandela Day”
Nelson Mandela has made a clear call to use his legacy to initiate a movement that can help make the world a better place. Mandela Day was launched in New York in July 2009 with a series of events and activities calling upon people to recognise each and everyone’s individual ability to make an imprint and change the world around them. In November 2009 a UN resolution recognised July 18th, Nelson Mandela’s birthday, as Nelson Mandela International Day, a day of service to humanity.
