As demonstrated in the prototype, visitors to the Find Your Watershed mashup will be able to identify their watersheds through a variety of search options. They will observe how watersheds 'nest' within each other at multiple, concentric scales and find a variety of watershed-scale data.Many additional types of information are relevant at the watershed scale. One analysis that we would like to perform, funding permitting, is to assess the percentage of each watershed covered by impermeable paving - a key indicator of overall watershed health. There are also many pre-existing datasets - EPA data on toxic releases or US Geological Survey data on stream flow - that could be incorporated.Most importantly, we will provide links to groups that are working on the ground in each watershed and make it easy for users to connect with those groups.
