SMASHcast youth podcast

Supporting organization:
The Level Playing Field Institute
URL:
smashcast.org
Project Description:

SMASHcast is a podcast produced by youth in San Francisco's Summer Math & Science Honors Academy. The podcast covers issues of interest to young people regarding their aims to study math and science in higher education.

Points of interest:

This project is a great example of new media being used by young people who might otherwise have less access to science, math, new technology and a sense of community around these issues.

An interview with the project's originiator, Level Playing Field Institute Director of Innovation Mini Kahlon, can be found at http://netsquared.org/kahlon
