TechSoup NetSquared Invites Conference Planning Input

May ‘06 event to build momentum for “Web 2.0” use in nonprofit sector

TechSoup NetSquared ( www.netsquared.org ), the project to increase nonprofit effectiveness through Web-based social tools, is asking the tech and nonprofit communities to get involved in the planning process for its conference on May 8 and 9, 2006 in San Francisco.

The conference will build upon six months of online discussion and collaboration about how nonprofits and non-governmental organizations can best use the new Web tools such as podcasting, social bookmarking, and blogging to achieve their missions. The event will give the ever-growing NetSquared community an opportunity to meet face-to-face, deepen their personal and working relationships, and take concrete steps towards making the Web a tool for social change.

Conference planning is an open process with many opportunities for the NetSquared community to get involved, including suggestions for speakers, topics, and other conference agenda items.
