I where a couple of hats. I'm the co-author of the book, The Networked Nonprofit, author of Beth's Blog, and a co-founder of Zoetica - a consulting company that connects organizations with its networks. I am interested in networks and how nonprofits can work in a more networked way. That was the topic of my book and I'm blogging about the ideas at Beth's Blog.
I'm looking forward to the summit and the discussion

Should there be a nonprofit and social change category on Digg? (Digg it here). That was the conversation in the nonprofit, nonprofit technology, and social change social media space. Here's a summary of the distributed conversations, some context, and some questions.

The NpTech Summary is a weekly compilation of resources tagged with "nptech" by those who follow all things nonprofits and social media. Since conversations are getting more distributed and in addition to using the NpTech tag to discover, aggregate, and summarize resources, I'm incorporating nuggets from micro media sources, nptech bloggers, nptech friendfeed room, and networks. The summaries are more focused on a social media theme or a social media question related to practice.

The NpTech Tag Summary went on hiatus to give some space to rethink, reinvent -- again. Conversations are getting
more distributed and it is getting increasingly difficult to use
tagging to discover, aggregate, and summarize them. I'm moving beyond
monitoring
the NpTech tagged items and meta feeds to incorporate nuggets from
micro media sources, nptech bloggers, friend feeds, and networks.

During the past few weeks, Twitter has been down or out due to stress. To learn more about Twitter scaling issues read this interview by Jesse Stay. When a service goes down, users will complain. And if happens a lot, they may move on. There was much speculation as to whether they mover to Jaiku (with its newly minted Google money), or Pownce, BrightKite, Tumblr, plurk or FriendFeed.
