Involver: How Nonprofits Can Create Video Campaigns for Social Networks.
Hi NetSquared Community!
YouthNoise is launching a new Initiative, next week, called Right To Learn!
Right To Learn is directed towards making sure youth stories and ideas are heard in the Education Reform policy discussions as the Governor’s “Year of Education Reform” unfolds in 2008.
We’re working with schools, students, and community based organizations to collect stories and ideas that will communicate to the Governor and State Legislators the real face of Education Reform. Improving the conditions of schools for students, particularly schools with students from lower income communities, is the ultimate goal of this Initiative.
Do you know any youth that go to school in California?
Do you know any youth that don’t want to go to school in California?
Do you know teachers, counselors, PTA types, or soccer moms?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, PLEASE SIGN MY PLEDGE or email me at erin@youthnoise.org to find out how you can be part of this historic take back of Education in California.
If you can pledge to get 50 youth stories or ideas,YouthNoise is prepared to send you all the support materials you could possibly need:
· Right To Learn Program Overview (one pager)
· Two Webcams OR a Digital Video Camera
· Simple Instructions on How to Collect & Upload Stories
· Stickers
· Buttons
· Pizza Vouchers
· Flyers for Promotion to Youth
· Teacher Handout with Sample Lesson Plan and CA State Content Standards Connections Map
· Registration & Privacy Policy Forms
If you can commit to gathering at least 100 stories we can send four additional Webcams or an additional Digital Video Camera.
Additionally, each participant has a chance to win grants for students to implement school improvement projects ranging from $100 to $25,000.
You can find more information online on our website as well, at www.RightToLearnCA.org. (Full story & idea collection platform launches on Nov 5th).
You can also check out sample stories on the YouthNoise web site.
Thanks!
