Looking for ideas and good energy

Yes, I am looking for people with an interest in SE Asia who would like to help the human rights situation of the Akha.

Do you have good energy in progress steps?

Moving a project foward?

Organizing structure but also taking a piece of the pie to accomplish?

Then we need your help.

Part 2:
Getting a feel for this site, only learned of it yesterday. I am interested in connecting with anyone that knows how we could broaden our message. I work with the Akha Hill Tribe of Thailand and neigboring countries. Going on 17 years. Human rights and cultural rights are a big deal, plus getting people to quit taking away Akha children. Read site for details.

We gather documents for the site which CLARIFY why there is a problem for the Akha and who is causing it. We contact Govt. officials about their mandates, and the conditions the Akha face. We are in contact with a number of members of congress.

We work at the UN level (UNPFII), OHCHR Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, I have filed a case of Genocide at the International Criminal Court, and we are planning a trip across the US by hosreback to the UN to highlight Akha land rights in Thailand, the situation with the children etc, and get to talk to lots of people about what is going on.

I currently have a couple of virtual volunteers, collecting documents, as well as people who send in clippings and reports.

Besides our trip our first NEXT fundraising goal will be to address starvation and malaria in Laos among the Akha, and that means buying thousands of mosquito nets IN COUNTRY (we buy a kind that is made in China right across the border).
(some people may have heard of "Nothing But Nets" so it can be done).

Currently I need more management skill, visionary people, and volunteer building and management of volunteers.

One of our projects is taking care to Akha prisoners so we need someone to help with a letter project and cheer these men and women up who are scattered across Thailand's prisons, the govt moves them to prisons far from home, many die in prison. I have buried some who got tortured to death and sent home. I lived in Thailand for 13 years until deported and then one year in Laos.

We also have a big dispute with the Queen of Thailand about stealing large tracts of Akha land.

Just some of the things going on. I look for innovative ideas, people who think the sky is not the limit, and who are very immaginative as well as aggressive "doers".

So I am here for energy and finding that spark in other people that can help our project to better deliver services to the Akha. We would like to build a large endowment to help deliver a budget to the Akha projects.

And a lot more.

ideas for SE Asia

Will you be at the NetSquared conference May 27-28?

Just found Netsquared

I am not sure. I just found netsquared. A friend of mine who works on relief projects held meetings and I was picking his brain and he told me about setting up on netsquared, which is where I learned about Google Grants as well as Youtube having a sector for non profits, which I signed up to. So I don't really know much about netsquared, what drives it, who drives it, what the focus is, etc. A bit to learn.
