Who we are and what we offer:

AMIS-CAMEROON is a non governmental organisation located in Limbe. At AMIS-CAMEROON, we render services to farmers and consumers by sending SMS text messages to their mobile phones. This approach enhances the communication needs of the poor, empowering them with decision making capabilities that improve the quality of their lives and enables them meet the millenium development goals like staying out of poverty and educating their children.

We recognize that Farmers are most times computer iliterate and cannot get  opportunities  offered by connecting to the internet. Our responsibility is to take such information to them and enhance their ability to stay above unfair competition and exploitation by middlemen.

We also hope to be of great service to consumers who are plagued by scarcity and  arbitrary price hikes. This we intend to achieve by informing them where the products they desire can be bought at affordable prices.  The information we provide shall balance the forces of  demand   and   supply so  that both farmers and consumers benefit from  doing business together.
