Hello, My Name is Amy Sample Ward

Hi everyone - N2Y4 Conference attendees and those following along online.   I just wanted to take a quick minute to introduce myself, add to the introductions flowing into the Net2 blog stream, and say, once again, how very excited I am about this year's conference. I am the Global Community Builder for NetSquared, which means my role covers many areas: the NetSquared offline community (Net Tuesdays), NetSquared online community (the blog and website), and much more.   I'm so excited for the N2Y4 Conference that I've highlighted some goals for myself and want to share them with the whole community!

N2Y4 Goals

  1.  Connect in person and in real-time - I'm currently based in London, UK, which means there is a lot of time difference in the way of connecting with Project Teams, Net2 team members, and all of the Net2 Community that isn't based in my time zone!
  2. Put conversations on the table - I really love starting conversations (what I try to do with the posts on my blog) and have been equally inspired lately with Joe Solomon's conversation starters on the Net2 blog.   I hope to keep putting challenging questions and ideas on the table that passionate, smart people can pick up and run with!
  3. Listen and absorb - Conferences always bring together interesting people, but the limited capacity of N2Y4 and the focus on innovative projects means there will be a really high percentage of people that I want to learn from and listen to.   I can't wait to absorb all kinds of new ideas, questions, and ideas about how we can do more with technology to make real world change.

What do you want to get out of N2Y4?   I'd love to hear from you, talk with you, and brainstorm!   You can always reach me at asampleward@techsoup.org or on Twitter @amyrsward - look forward to seeing you in San Jose!
