The Microsoft Mobile Challenge for Development encouraged innovations for applying mobile technologies for development, specifically around one of the eight United Nations Millennium Development goals. A panel of 5 judges, selected by Microsoft, chose three winners, announced today at the N2Y4 Conference. And the winners are...
The Winners will receive cash awards of $15,000 (first place), $10,000 (second place), and $5,000 (third place) to further develop and implement their ideas.

I have read about all of
I have read about all of these three projects and I would say that some ideas were really original. I didn't really like the third place project, because I think that children will send there sms to have some fun or to laugh from the answers (in most cases). While there is a telephone line they are afraid to call and talk nonsense, but if there will be the SMS service, they will do that, believe me. The second place is worth trying but I saw this idea somewhere else before reading here. And at last, I fully agree with Microsoft about the first place. This is the best candidate to win. We are experiencing a lot of health care problems nowadays, so this feature would be really helpful for our society. To sum up, it is very nice that our modern society started to use mobile platform in various purposes. I am a mobile software developer by myself so these things are making me really happy. Thanks for the great article, I will be keeping eyes on your blog.
Sincerely,
James Lyndon from mobile application development
