Seattle Net Tuesday's online membership keeps growing, and the last event was another success. Stephen and Sarah are organizing the events and are really glad to see the steady growth amongst this network of people who use technology for good in our communities and world. With all of this growth comes new opportunities: Do you want to help organize Seattle Net Tuesday?

Sarah has been organizing Seattle Net Tuesday for over a year now, and about half that time Stephen has served as co-organizer. Stephen is preparing his move to Washington, DC to work in Congress, which leaves Net Tuesday with just Sarah to keep it going.
So, she is reaching out to all of you to ask for help. If you are interested in co-organizing Seattle Net Tuesday events, let her know!
"With a few people and a few hours, we could pull together something great! If you'd like to have a topic covered at Seattle Net Tuesday, this is your opportunity to make it happen."
Contact Sarah through the Seattle Net Tuesday site at http://seattlenettuesday.ning.com and let her know if you'd like to be involved in co-organizing events in the future. She will put new volunteers together and guide you (if you need it, you're super-talented organizers!).

"A lot of situations currently exist where you need a human monitoring someone else," said Matthai Philipose, Intel's co-lead on the project, from his Seattle office.
Intel has paid the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs $100,000 to conduct a study of 20 people to research the technology, said Ken LeBlond, a Veterans Affairs spokesman in Seattle. None of those in the study is a veteran, LeBlond said. The study began in January and is expected to be completed in the spring, he said.
"It's a little showcase," Intel's Padmananabhan "Babu" Pillai said Tuesday as the lab at Carnegie Mellon University's Collaborative Innovation Center showed off its latest futuristic work at an open house.
