New Local Group: Manchester, UK

There's a new local group in Manchester, UK, and the first event is this month!  If you're in or around Manchester, be sure to come check out the first event on 26 January - or, learn how you can start a group in your local community.

Welcome, Manchester!

Steven Flower is the local organizer in Manchester and he's tapped a great community interested in the intersection of social media and social impact.  I'm really excited to say that I'll be at the event to introduce NetSquared and offer any case studies, examples or other knowledge I can about the sector.  Nick Booth of Podnosh will be the main presenter, facilitating a version of the social media game.  There looks to be a good turn out and if you are in the neighborhood, stop by and say hello!

Learn more about the Manchester NetSquared group or RSVP for the event.

What are Local groups?

Net Tuesday or NetSquared Local groups are monthly events that take place in cities around the world. These events serve as a great opportunity to convene local communities to share ideas, learn from each other, and even collaborate on projects for real world impact. These gatherings provide a chance to connect for all those interested in the intersection of social technologies and social change in your local community. Members of local groups represent nonprofit organizations and foundations, government agencies and service providers, designers and developers, innovators and social entrepreneurs.
