Last week, the Human Rights Center at the University of California, Berkeley announced the Human Rights Center Mobile Challenge to encourage innovations for applying mobile technologies for human rights investigations and advocacy.   Submissions are already coming in and you can get involved!

Here are three ways to participate in the HRC Mobile Challenge:

1.   Spread the word

You can tell your colleagues and friends about the Challenge by sending along a ready-to-use message:

• Email:   Mobile technologies meet human rights in NetSquared's latest innovation Challenge.   You can learn more about UC Berkeley's Human Rights Center Mobile Challenge at http://netsquared.org/hrc-ucb

2.   Submit a project

Submit a new Project to the HRC Mobile Challenge:

1. Register and login
2. Click on your username in the upper right
3. Click on "Submit a Project to the Project Gallery"
4. Enter the corresponding "Prize Tag" on the Submission Form for the Challenge you are entering ("HRC-UCB")

Re-submit a Project from a previous Challenge:
If you submitted a project for a previous Challenge, you can submit it to additional Challenges, too!

1. Visit your Project Page by clicking on your username and following the link to My Project Idea
2. Click the "Edit" tab on your Project and select the corresponding "Prize Tag" ("HRC-UCB")
3. Edit your Project information for relevancy and save

3.   Collaborate with projects

You, the NetSquared Community, make the Challenges so powerful. It is your feedback and collaboration that helps develop ideas into projects and projects into deployed tools.   Your engagement and support is crucial to the success of the Projects, and you can start engaging now!   Here's how:

Visit the Project Gallery and:

• Browse Projects that interest you by using the tags below
• Find Projects that others are discussing by sorting with the "# of comments" column below
• Add your feedback or ideas to Projects using the comments feature
• Show your enthusiasm for a great idea with the star feature
