There are many different 'charity mall' providers for nonprofits and shoppers to choose from, and the launch of We-Care.com adds one more to the mix!
The funcation of a charity mall portal is to provide a co-branded space where nonprofits can direct supporters to make many of their ordinary online purchases while supporting the organization.
Responsible Shopping and the We-Care.com Community:
Shopping Responsibly means giving back to the community while shopping. A percentage of what you spend goes to your cause. Why shop any other way?
I asked my network on Twitter this morning if anyone had tried out We-Care.com just yet. One response was from the nonprofit EduRelief, asking, "do you know how We Care compares to places like Maatiam?" You can check out where We-Care.org stands on all of those aspects on their website or in the FAQ section. With more and more spending taking place online each year, whether it is for gifts, clothes, books or even groceries, it seems like charity malls are a great opportunity for nonprofits to reap some free rewards.
Is your organization represented with a charity mall online? How did you choose which one/s? What work have you put in and what benefits (financial or otherwise) have you seen? The NetSquared community would love to hear your story!
