Youth Venture, sister program of Ashoka: Innovators for the Public (www.ashoka.org), is one of three finalists in the MySpace Impact Awards. Youth Venture is building a global movement of young social changemakers by inspiring and investing in young people around the world to launch and lead their own social ventures. Youth Venture is using it's innovative new website, www.genv.net, to connect young people across the globe in a movement of youth-led social change. Youth who have already launched Ventures can create their own profiles of their teams and can read about and connect to other teams. And, youth who have not yet launched a Venture, can identify and connect with young people anywhere who share their interests to come together and launch a Venture that may span borders or even oceans.
If Youth Venture wins the MySpace Impact Awards, it will get a month of featured publicity on MySpace, which would be tremendously helpful in enabling it to reach more young people around the world and encourage them to launch social ventures.
The winner is chosen by public voting so go to www.myspace.com/impactawards to VOTE FOR YOUTH VENTURE. You can vote once a day now through Friday. Every vote counts!
