Malecare Prostate Cancer Support for Gay Men 

It is the only cancer community for gay men in the world. Being online helps men connect with other men in a supportive, dating neutral environment around life threatening and sexually diminishing cancer treatment.

Arts Engine

Arts Engine works at the intersection of media, advocacy, community, education and technology. All of our projects utilize the web in sophisticated ways to maximize impact, from the Media That Matters Film Festival, one of the first streaming festivals, to MediaRights.org, a database driven resource for filmmakers, educators, activists and youth.

NPower Seattle 

NPower Seattle, a nonprofit technology assistance provider, has launched a program to help community-based organizations take advantage of the free technology tools that exist to apply for the tax credit, and in turn teach their clients how to use these tools.

 

Civic Footprint 

This project is unique because while much of the information provided by the Footprint is publicly available elsewhere, the Civic Footprint brings all these pieces of data together in one place. It also gives users s visual and spatial image of where they reside in the context of the many political and civic jurisdictions that circumscribe them. Lastly, it is one of the only tools anywhere in the country, we believe, that aggregates all this kind of information in one place.

The Freedom Toaster Project 

The project helps spread Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) while overcoming limitations imposed by lack of internet connectivity.

This blog chronicles the rescued baby Hippo, Owen, who was adopted by a 130 year old giant Aldabran tortoise, Mzee.
