MAPLight.org Receives World Summit Award
Congratulations to N2Y2 Featured Project, MAPLight.org for being chosen as one of the five World Summit Award winners in the category of E-Government. The other four winners were:
ATM EXPRESS GOVERNMENT - Mexico
citizensinformation.ie - Ireland
citizen.dk - Denmark
Lower House of German Parliament - Germany
"The World Summit Award (WSA) is a global initiative to select and promote the world's best e-Content, started in 2003 in the framework of the United Nations' World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). This is done through national contests, a global contest, held every 2 years, and numerous content-focused national and international conferences and workshops the WSA Road Show."
MAPLight Co-Founder, Dan Newman, gets to go to Venice, Italy (fun!) to pick up the award.
