netsquared-like, but emergent...
just a point of clarification on the n2eu project.
i was personally inspired by my experience of netsquared 2006, and this was a big motivation behind my original call for a european remix.
however, a lot of issues have been raised that need sorting out before the EU remix will have a clear identity. so at the moment it'd be more accurate to say 'netsquared-like' rather than calling it Netsquared Europe.
i think it's important that n2eu reflects the european context, and draws on the strengths of the scene over here. a diverse community has started to build behind the idea, and this community will need to debate the issues and define the shape of n2eu.
of course, as daniel ben-horin says himself, no two netsquareds will be the same, so it's for sure that a euro event will be a different animal.
and it's for sure that some level of active cooperation with netsquared itself will be important for n2eu. daniel has has been working hard to seed ideas and potential connections during his visit to the uk. it's up to the n2eu community to make something unique about of the potentials that we all bring to the mix.
best
dan
