Organizer Needed for NetSquared Los Angeles Meetup

Are you looking to meet like-minded folks in Los Angeles who are using the social web for social change?

If so, let us know 'cause we are looking for a new organizer of the Los Angeles NetSquared Meetup group.  There are 48 members already signed up and waiting for you to take the lead.

Organizing a NetSquared Meetup in your city doesn't take as much time as you think.  All you have to do is:

1. Find a venue.  Once you've found if, you can use the same one each month.

2. Find a speaker.  They can be from a nonprofit using the social web for social change, a company that has created a product or service that is helping nonprofits use the social web, or a nonprofit tech consultant who has knowledge to share.  If you can't think of anyone, put out a request right here on the NetSquared blog.

3. Get a food donation from a store like Trader Joe's or Whole Foods, or hold it at a venue that has food and drinks people can buy.

4. Post your event info. on your Meetup group page.

4. Advertise on free sites like Upcoming, Zvents, Eventful, Craigslist, Tribe.net, and other related list servs.  We'll also post about it here, on the Net2 blog.

5. Go and have fun!

We've also created a Net Tuesday Toolkit to help you with your organizing that you can download here.  Interested?  Email us at net2@techsoup.org.
