We had a nice time last night at our mellow SF Net Tuesday chatting about all things NetSquared and WineCamp. We even had two out of town guests. Steve from Woodstock, NY, and Timothy from the Acceleration Studies Foundation in Atlanta, GA, who stopped by to find out what NetSquared and WineCamp are all about.
Raines Cohen nicely summarized what will be happening at WineCamp.
Day one will be about people, conversation, camping, BBQ and being back to nature. Day two will be about technology, demos, WiFi, power and teaching. In other words, on the first day, people will be outside all day with only the life of a battery to power their laptops and the focus will be on talking about how nonprofits and developers can collaborate. Day two will mostly be inside with folks on their computers hashing out the ideas from the day before and sharing how to use the social web for social change.
Registration for WineCamp is up and the organizers really need to know how much delicious food to order, so if you're planning on coming, sign yourself up so that there are enough pancakes to go around.
