Net Tuesdays or Net2 Local gatherings provide a chance to connect locally with all those interested in the intersection of social technologies and social change. There are new groups forming every week: Join in!
Starting today, Monday, April 9th, you can vote for the best NetSquared Innovation Fund Award nominated projects until Saturday, April 14th at Noon PDT. We want you to cast your ballot for the projects that you think most effectively use the social web for social change.
To vote, read through the Voting Guidelines, and our handy Voter Guide, which includes short summaries of the 150+ nominated projects. When you're ready, log into the NetSquared site (you can become a registered user here) and vote for 5-10 of your favorite projects. If you have any technical difficulties voting, please contact net2@techsoup.org.

Nonprofits or Not??
The Technology Innovation Fund voting is a nice idea, but. . . I understand that the competition is open to both nonprofit and private sector submissions. Fair enough; either can do good. One of the guidelines is that the entries "Have a plausible financial model." Also fair enough. But how can we vote intelligently if the competing organizations don't even identify whether they are nonprofits or businesses? How can we consider their claims to having a "plausible financial model" if they don't disclose that? After all, use of a .com or .org domain doesn't tell us that.
