Nonprofits or Not??

The Technology Innovation Fund voting is a nice idea, but. . .

I understand that the competition is open to both nonprofit and private sector submissions. Fair enough; either can do good. One of the guidelines is that the entries "Have a plausible financial model." Also fair enough.

But how can we vote intelligently if the competing organizations don't even identify whether they are nonprofits or businesses? How can we consider their claims to having a "plausible financial model" if they don't disclose that? After all, use of a .com or .org domain doesn't tell us that.
