The Vodafone Americas Foundation announces its Wireless Innovation Challenge, a new competition that seeks to identify and fund the best innovations using wireless related technology to address critical social issues around the world. Learn more!
April 9-14 we will be asking you to cast your vote to choose the 20 NetSquared Innovation Fund Award Featured Projects that are utilizing the technologies, tools and communities of the social web to create societal impact most effectively. The 20 projects that are chosen will receive an all-expense paid trip to the NetSquared Conference in San Jose, CA May 29-30, 2007, and a chance to win financial and technical support.
As of this writing, we've received 43 project proposals, and in the next ten days we expect to receive many more.
We want your suggestions about two issues that are crucial to the voting process:
1. How should we organize the project proposals, and what voting tool should we use, so that it easy for you to review and vote for the best projects?
2. What advice would you give to nominees about how to spread the word and promote their projects during the voting period? We know some of the nominees have huge communities that they can ask to vote for them and are super PR savvy, and some have small communities and don't have access to as many marketing tools.
We would love to hear your thoughts, ideas and suggestions to help us ensure that the voting process is as fair as we can make it, and that the projects that are chosen are using the social web for the greatest social impact. Photo Credit: "Voting Sign at Night" by Ben Combee
