Building community in your area? Check out the newly-launched Community Organizers Handbook! Everything you need to start and grow a NetSquared Local group or any other community-powered program.
I've recently been involved with community building around community building via weekly #commbuild Twitter chats. This concept is a bit meta, I know, but I've found it to be a really great way to connect with other people in my position. Since there are so many community builders involved with the Net2 network in various ways, I wanted to be sure to let you all know about this new opportunity.
We recently got word from our beloved organizers at Net2 Local in Houston that they need to hand off the organizer baton. Having spent 6 years hosting monthly networking events, they are our longest-running Net2 Local community organizers.
On January 10, Craig Newmark will be joining San Francisco NetSquared to talk about using technology for the common good. Craig, the founder of craigconnects.org and Craigslist, will be sharing his experiences and leading a discussion with the community.

For this month's Net2 Think Tank, we asked you to share your tips, resources, and ideas about curating content at your organization or enterprise. Below, read the curated list of the community responses we received - and share your own tips in the comments!

We want to learn from you about curating content! A buzzword in the industry, content curation is nothing new. In fact, many organizations have been effectively curating for years. But the creation of new tools and an increasing demand for streamlined content access has inspired us!
As changemakers in our communities, it's important to take the time to learn from the communities that we serve about their impressions of our services. Whether your community is of volunteers, members of the public, internal stakeholders, or international organizations, it is valuable to ask them what they think of your work and invite them to help shape the future of your programs. For this month's Net2 Think Tank, we asked you to share your tips and examples from surveying your community!
Please join me in welcoming Trenton DuVal to the NetSquared team! Trenton has joined us to support the creation and sharing of content for NetSquared.org and the new NetSquared platform. It is our hope that his role will serve to enhance our efforts to be more vibrant, useful and effective for the global NetSquared Community!
