Building community in your area? Check out the newly-launched Community Organizers Handbook! Everything you need to start and grow a NetSquared Local group or any other community-powered program.

From Facebook and Twitter to Google Maps and SMS, we've got loads of new tools that we can use to communicate. But how do we use those tools to create real-world change?
10 Tactics for Turning Information into Action is an independent film that documents inspiring info-activisim stories and uses the lessons learned in those stories to create a set of 10 pieces of advice to help aspiring do-gooders to plan their own information acticvism. The film is currently being screened all over the world.
For folks in and around Brooklyn, New York, I recommend going to see the film at the Brooklyn Creative League on March 16 at 7pm. View the invite.
There will all be additional screenings in the US, Sweden, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil and South Africa. View a full list of screenings.
If you, like me, live in a city without a screening you can learn more about each of the tactics online. Here are links to more information about each of the 10 Tactics:
...or better yet, you could share the knowledge and arrange a screening in your area.
