The Concerned Citizens Coalition and Slurve are looking for someone to help configure Wordpress, Drupal or a similar content management system for our non-profit organization. We have the front end, but we need help hooking it up so we can upload content and automatically index articles in the most user-friendly way possible.
First, let me take a second to share what our organizations are all about. We are developing 4 brands...Slurve, the Concerned Citizens Coalition, Create Change, and ChariTEES. Our idea is simple -- to create a hybrid business model where non-profit organizations use for-profit strategies in their fundraising efforts. Our goal is to raise funds for the arts, education, and social responsibility, as well as create fundraising mechanisms that allow individuals to decide where they want their donations to go, but to do it in a way that relies on merchandising, corporate sponsorships, special events and other innovative fundraising methods that allow for sustainable growth instead of focusing on grants and individual donations.
Our top priority at the moment is to develop Slurve, which will serve as a media outlet and allow us to grow our support base while funding arts scholarships and little league teams. In order to sucessfully implement our plan however, we first need to develop a website (which will eventually lead to multiple websites) that allows us to get our message out and keeps people coming back for more.
So if you're experienced with Wordpress or Drupal, or building content management systems from the ground up and would like to help us out, please contact me at mtgentilucci [at] gmail.com. Unfortunately we have no budget yet, but this could lead to a longer term relationship with projects that we do plan on having budgets for. Plus you get your very own baseball card, and mad recognition.
