My name is Deepa Gupta and I am a program officer at the MacArthur Foundation, a private philanthropy based in Chicago that gives $240 million each year locally and globally.  My professional priorities are to support arts and culture in Chicago, institutional capacity development among our domestic and international grant recipients, and the application of new technologies by nonprofits in many fields.

I am particularly interested in the impact of new media on people's access, enjoyment and understanding of culture (local and global) and also the use of new technologies to change the way nonprofits accomplish their work and achieve their goals.
