Join us for the San Francisco Net Tuesday on September 9:
Involver: How Nonprofits Can Create Video Campaigns for Social Networks.
Time's running up for new proposals for the Netsquared Innovation Award, and while the clock keeps ticking, many projects, many ideas and a lot of dreams are submitted to win a single, yet very important, prize: the chance to become a reality.
As many other initiatives posted, Yankana is above all a dream, created to address the necessity of helping other organizations and nonprofits located in developing countries to discover their own potential, to find out what they can do with technology for development, and to start doing it permanently.
Our hope is to use every technical, social and cultural knowledge that we have from our experiences to serve others in what we can. In fact we are already doing it, but we need a little push to expand our initiative to many more.
There's a phrase I read on one of the projects submitted that perhaps says what motivates us all, and it said that our hope should be that at the end of our life we would not have a single bit of talent left, so we could say that we used them all.
Good luck to all of the nominees!
