With a major fundraising event right around the corner, IRCIL has had to find creative ways to get the word out. As a nonprofit comprised of staff members that are not keen on "selling" anything... or cold calling in solicitation of sponsorships, we were somewhat forced to push email and social media (specifically Facebook) as marketing mediums. Killing two birds with one stone, this not only reaches a far greater number of potential donors in a shorter amount of time, but it also alleviates the discomfort that may come with face to face networking. While we still value "old fashioned" methods of marketing in the community, we have been able to implement a new process that has taken us great strides in a short period of time.
