Project Entry: Resdida's Mobile Content Distribution Platform

Resdida was founded to address the challenges of distribution of information, 2-way dialog and engagement of communities as opposed to "pushing" issues & content at marginalized communities. In addition, how can we provide a product/service to organizations (large and small) that enables them to scale their impact and  increase their reach to people who need it most? We believe there is a way to solve these problems that is  financially sustainable, affordable for organizations and extremely easy to use.

These are not small problems! Telecom companies are notoriously difficult to deal with, standards differ over the world in hardware, software, bandwidth, format (1G-3G), frequency, programming is complex, and the tools can become as much of the barrier to entry as the communication problem itself.

Resdida (www.resdida.com) is  addressing these problem issues in several ways, but I'm most excited about our Mobile Content Distribution  Platform, which is currently under development. Our focus is on ease of use, so an organization can be up and running in minutes, with no technical knowledge whatsoever.

I'm excited to be part of the USAID Development Challenge. I was attracted to the Challenge for many reasons, not the least of which was the connection to NetSquared, which adds real credibility to the technical and entrepreneurial start-up nature of the initiative.
