This is my first N2 blog post...
I'm going to be heading out to the N2 conference in San Jose and wanted to reach out to others who will be at the event. I'm working as the U.S. Outreach Officer for a project of mySociety called PledgeBank. PledgeBank is a tool for folks to create a pledge inviting others to either join them in something they were already going to do (i.e. donate blood) or help them do something that one person can't do alone (i.e. building a neighborhood playground). I realize that the U.S. landscape is already saturated with a million tools to help enable volunteerism and civic engagement, but PledgeBank is a bit different. PledgeBank encourages and enables folks from all over the country (in fact, all over the world -- volunteers have translated the site into 12 languages!) to create their own pathways to civic action and solutions to community problems/needs.
I look forward to meeting those who are attending the conference, and corresponding with others in the N2 community!!

Great to "meet you"
I saw pledgebank in action with a colleague, Lucy Hooberman's project, mentoring worldwide! Looking forward to putting a face with a blog post!
