Chicago COUNTs 2012: COnference Uniting Nonprofits and Technology
In a little over a week, nonprofit professionals and tech pros will come together in the city of Chicago for Chicago Counts, a day-long conference to help nonprofit professionals learn more about technology. Participants will choose from sessions on email marketing, social media, web analytics, online collaboration tools, digital marketing, crm tools, video production, cloud security, and more. The conference is kept very affordable because of a generous grant from The Pierce Family Foundation. Participants pay $25 for Early Bird and $35 for regular admission.
I started Chicago Counts after attending a tech conference in Chicago called SocialDev Camp. I was a total newbie to technology, but truly enjoyed the weekend event. About halfway through the weekend, I realized that nonprofits needed a similar event to focus on their technology needs. Thus, Chicago Counts was born.
The first event was a wonderful community building experience and many of the connections made that day, continue today. If you are interested in attending or want to help promote this event, here is more information: http://chicagocounts2012.eventbrite.com/
