Hi

I'm Ian Clifford from Telecentre Europe, and (like many I have two hats) UK online centres. I have been helping people to get online for about the last 15 years, and I now represent the network of telecentres across Europe. The network is massive: about 30,000 centres at last count, but my day job is with the network of 4000 centres in England.

We have an excting thing coming up in Europe in two weeks time, Get Online Week, where we are hoping to get 100,000 people online during a week in our centres. There is still about 40% of Europeans who arent connected, which is a massive 300m people, and my aim is to do something about that. Ill be looking for people and organisations to collaborate with, not necessarily for Get Online Week, but in a whole range of different activities that we run thoughout the year.

We already work closely with Microsoft, Telecentre.org, European Commission, Liberty Global and Techsoup, but I look forward to meeting you all as well...
