Janet Sawaya, Global Libraries, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

I am a program officer in the Global Libraries initiative of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  Global Libraries aims to improve lives by providing access to information through information technologies in public libraries.  I manage programs in Eastern Europe and Asia and focus on innovative services for library users as well as supporting advocacy for libraries.
