What are your favorite examples of using social networks for social change?

Thank you kbaird for the photo!

Hi! I'm preparing for an upcoming social media presentation in Vancouver on June 17th that's going to explore how organizations and social change makers are using social networks to raise awareness and inspire action. A huge part of using social networks for good is collaboration. In that spirit, I created a wiki and think it would be AWESOME if YOU could share your favorite examples of how nonprofits & individuals are using social networks to make the world a better place.

Some examples of social networks on the wiki include Flickr, Twitter, Youtube, & Facebook. Two case studies already added include the FrozenPeaFund campaign and the Facebook app - The 'Lil Green Patch'.

Please add your favorite case studies to the list - I'll take the examples that I think are the most rock star and present them at Vancouver's next Third Tuesday. My hope is also that the wiki/list will continue to expand and grow into a great resource for the nonprofit technology community. Thanks for contributing!
