AgentHandy Erin Denny organized a pre-conference dinner to talk about how nonprofits can use social networking tools. We had a great conversation about that with Ed, Bob, Dmitri, and Lucy. Bob took notes with his portable keyboard and PDA -- hopefully he will blog the notes.
We attempted to exchange business cards with beaming, but unfortunately our devices would not talk to one another!
One cool thing I learned about that castingwords.com which does transcription of your recorded audio and returns it to you in an RSS feed so you can post it. (Ed told me about it.) He explained the work flow:
1. you can record it on any device - doesn't matter the quality
2. upload file online - if you're doing a podcast, just post it
3. get linke
4. submit to castingwords.com
5. they will transcribe it for $25 per hour
6. get it via RSS feed
7. editing
8. link love
9. post
Ed says that if you post a text of your podcast or audio file it increases your search engine traffic.
