Tags are keywords that describe digital resources such as blog posts, photos, videos, bookmarks, or anything on the Web. Tags can help facilitate knowledge sharing, particularly during conference events or an entire field (take for example the NpTech Tag) because information can be aggregated and easily scanned via an RSS feed or Yahoo Pipe.
If everyone in the NetSquared community is tagging resources related to the conference with the n2y2 tag, we are sure to harness the power of the social web. This will expose us to the intelligence of the group and make our collective wisdom of what we are learning during NetSquared Conference more findable - to ourselves and others who can't attend.
A few good tips on where, what, and how to tag:
1. Add Tags To Your NetSquared Blog Posts: Tag your posts with the tags "n2y2" and any other applicable tags for the subject of your post. (Do not include quotation marks).
2. Use the Technorati Code: If you write for other blogs, we encourage you to post your entry on them as well. Use the Technorati code. Use the Technorati Bookmarklet so you don't have type out the entire code.
3. Tag all your photos in Flickr: You can assign tags to your flickr photos taken during the conference. If we all do this, we'll create a wonderful visual record of our experience. Here's where to find tagged n2y2 photos in Flickr!
4. Add Tags to Your Video Blog Posts: Whether videos are on blip.tv or YouTube, don't forget to add n2y2 tag. And, if you are podcasting - tag them too.
5. Tag Your Bookmarks: If you use one of the social bookmarking applications like del.icio.us, or ma.gnolia remember to use the n2y2 tag. It can be really useful to tag web resources mentioned during the sessions so others can find them too.
Where else will you be adding the n2y2 tag?
