Aldon Hynes has a very thoughtful piece about metrics for success for blogs and building community - the point is regular readers or those who subscribe via RSS. He also overs some points about building your own social network and how that leverages regular readers.

Replace "brokerage firm" with "nonprofit" and you have a good article on how web 2.0 changes organizations. (It is a press release about a recent Gartner report called "Traditional Investment Services Firms Must Respond to New Web2.0 Brokers' Innovation")

Facebook Apps for Nonprofits

"The Long Tail of the Facebook Causes" from frogloop begin with a descriptio of nonprofit apps, including two that Care2 developed. (If you're looking for a good tutorial on how to develop Facebook apps, here's one) The care2 post gives an overview of some Facebook cause stats. And, finally, an excellent set of how-to pointers.

LifeHacker has a roundup of how to get productive with Facebook applications. What about turning the computer off?

Razoo has a cool speed grant. You have to get your friends to vote for your proposal and the one that
gets the most votes receives $1,000. You find a project I set up and another I voted for on my Facebook profile!
