Katie Laird - howdy from Houston

I am Katie Laird, co-founder of the Houston Net2 chapter and Communications Director / Social Media strategist for a Web firm called Schipul - The Web Marketing Company.

It's been a couple of years since I've been able to attend a TechSoup conference and I am very excited to see both new and familiar faces.  Working for a business that serves both for-profit orgs and NPOs, I have had my hands on many different kinds of marketing projects, fundraising campaigns and technology builds.  I hope to learn about new tech / networks and be able to offer advice or guidance to others in any way I can.

I also have a radio show called The Business Makers Overtime Show - a show dedicated to telling entrepreneurs' stories.  This year will bring an increased nonprofit focus and I look forward to connecting with organizations that are interested in participating in that forum as well.  You can also find me blogging at www.happykatie.com and www.hungrykatie.com.
