wading in the waters of indecisiveness...

In looking at the first moments of being an official part of the wikipedia community (in that i now have an actual account on wikipedia's site) i am left with a feeling of false excitement... ready to create articles about all the subjects/people/etc i can't wait to see on wikipedia, i am left with the huge burden of worrying about being sued, or boo'ed, while i read the huge guideline section.

How am i supposed to feel encouraged to add to such a site?! granted, i believe that it is important to have guidelines with a project whos editible articles are fast becomming source for people all over the world, but i also want to feel that same zest for which i believe the project was built on; the ability to allow collaborative access to information...

which brings me to my most recent struggle... if i see a non profit organization that i have association with, how can i ensure that the organization is being represented in that space? furthermore, if an individual has been referenced in other parts of wikipedia, who should i wait for to bring light about a person people should know about??
