It is with great pleasure that I introduce Elijah van der Giessen who is starting this week as a contractor on the NetSquared community team!
In her post last week, Laney Strange introduced the NetSquared 100 Day Challenge -- a set of six commitments we’ve made to our Global Leadership Council (GLC) and the NetSquared community that will move our work forward in a big way. Today on day 10, I’m pleased to report significant progress on Challenge #1: NetSquared Vision.
The NetSquared Vision: Clarity and Purpose
I’m excited to publish the first in a series of posts about the NetSquared Global Leadership Council (GLC) program that concluded last Thursday in San Francisco. Alicja Peszkowska has already provided some great highlights of the experience. In this post, I’d like to share details from one of our most engaging sessions, which focused on the new NetSquared platform and Net2 Link, a program being launched with SAP to connect high skilled volunteers with NetSquared Local groups and constituents.
In my previous post about the results of our Shape the Future survey, I focused on the larger NetSquared audience that interfaces with our work, both online and offline. In this follow-up, I’d like to tell you about our survey of Local organizers around the world and how they’re thinking about the future of NetSquared.
We wanted to conduct a separate survey of our organizers because they have such a strong understanding of NetSquared activities at the grassroots level. Many organizers regularly survey their own members, which gives them a special insight into the programming interests of their constituencies.
Congratulations to Peter Deitz and Steven Flower who are the winners of our Kindle Fire drawings!
Thanks again to everyone who completed the community and Local organizer surveys. Look for more analysis of the results in the days to come.
I am excited to share the initial results of our Shape the Future of NetSquared community survey!
In all, 209 people responded and an additional 50 NetSquared Local organizers completed a detailed survey to report back on the status and interests of their groups around the world. We’d like to thank all of you who took the time out to participate and the NetSquared team members who spent many long hours working on the project, especially Claire Sale.
This week we’re beginning a series of posts about the Restart Romania Social Justice Challenge -- a community engagement collaboration of NetSquared and TechSoup Romania. The Challenge offered participants the chance to share ideas and projects for using technology to bring about social change in Romania. This weekend, five of the ten finalist projects will be selected to receive a cash prize along with ongoing technical and marketing support to fully launch their platforms.
Is our e-mail still sitting in your inbox or on your to-do list? Have you been meaning to get to it but (insert excuse here)? Good news! You have one last chance to complete the NetSquared Community Survey by this Sunday November 6th. We’ve received some great responses so far from 177 of you, but we’re nowhere near satisfied. Who else is lurking out there?
We want to deepen our learning on several major issues affecting the NetSquared audience. If you’ve had any contact with NetSquared, online or offiline, we want to hear what you have to say.
NetSquared needs your brain! No, we’re not zombies. We’re conducting a survey of the community, and sharing your experience will help shape the future of NetSquared. Please take a few moments to tell us what we can do to serve you better.
As we shared previously, we’re re-evaluating our strategy and goals for the NetSquared program. Social innovation is gaining momentum globally, and the needs of our audience are changing. We want to learn from you how we can change for the better.
Hello everyone,
We're in the process of lining up a few great prizes for our forthcoming community survey, which will launch this coming Tuesday October 18th.
We look forward to your participation and getting your help in shaping the future of NetSquared!
