Net Tuesdays or Net2 Local gatherings provide a chance to connect locally with all those interested in the intersection of social technologies and social change. There are new groups forming every week: Join in!
The whole way home I tried to write this blog post. Figure out what I wanted to say. I keep coming back to the same thing: at the end of the conference people were eager to share the work they'd done during the Making It Happen sessions. You can read Sarah's report to get a sense of what folks did.
And what then I think of what happens next. How do we take the energy and conversations in the room, on the remote conference and in the hallway, and the collected next actions. How do we take all of that and bring it back to our everyday world -- our community and conversations?
I'll be dead honest here: we don't have the answer to that question. We want to turn this into concrete action and change, to keep the connections and relationships alive but we don't know how.
Sure, we have ideas. Net2Learn resource centers to pull people together around projects. Reorganize the site to make it easier to find information. Figure out ways to make it easier for the NetSquared community members to find each other.
But those are all our ideas and I feel like they put us too much in the middle of things. So, here's my question to you all: what can we do -- what tools can we give you -- to help bring the things that work into your regular daily life? What can we do to help you make the change you want?
Great notes and one small addition
You should get an award for taking such excellent notes at the end of the two long days!
