Building community in your area? Check out the newly-launched Community Organizers Handbook! Everything you need to start and grow a NetSquared Local group or any other community-powered program.
- Thanks to overwhelming demand, the NetSquared conference is already full.
- We're maintaining a waiting list, but we expect few spaces will become available, if any.
- We're launching an all-out effort to broaden participation for those who can't attend, with online tools and offline gatherings.
We filled up way, way more quickly than we expected. And just a few years ago, this post (and our options) would probably end right there.
But with the birth of the social web, conferences don't have to be restricted to their meeting rooms and hallways. We'd always planned to use the Net2 community – online and offline – to broaden participation in this event. Now we're kicking those plans into overdrive.
Read all about it here. And if you have ideas for great ways to include more people, please share.

As opposed to RATS! - That means the virtual conference experience will be even better for those of us who are distance (and timezone) challenged. Happy to help. Looking for guidance on things like tags to use and maybe a single entry point for whatever goodies the community publishes about the conference.

Rats!!
Well, that'll larn me not to procrastinate. I've been figuring the net2 conference into my plans for months but just didn't get round to registering.
If I'm not one of the lucky few that scores any cancellation spaces that open up, I'll be looking in from afar. Video everything! And you're right -- it's not precisely the same as being there, but the net2 community comes awfully close. Invaluable for us at NRDC.
