It's September and we have 4 very exciting events that you hope you will join us at. Two are Net2Camb specific and two that we are huge supporters of and encourage you to attend.
Our usual Social Media Surgery will be happening on Wed 10th Sept, 4.30-6.30pm. For the do gooders out there, this is your chance to get individual support and answers for those questions related to twitter, facebook and more. For those of you already social media savvy, we could really use some volunteer 'surgeons' to help answer the do gooders questions! 2 hours a months is all we ask of you! Details and sign up here.
Storytime: Creating Technologies with Visually Impaired People: In honour of storytelling month at NetSquared, we have a special guest named Nikiforos here to tell us all about his stories of using technology to empower people with visually impairments. Prepare to be inspired. Details and sign up here.
Be The Change Cambridge - Our good friend and regular volunteer social media 'surgeon' Antony, otherwise known as Puffles, has put together this incredible event which aims to get Cambridge residents working together to identify and help solve the city's challenges. With lots of social media usage throughout the event (and support to use it!), technology will take a huge part in helping create community. While regular tickets cost £10, volunteer and concession tickets are available for free. We'll be there, will you? Details and sign up here.
Get Tech Un-Conference - Remember Get Tech World Cafe event last year? Well, this is the bigger and badder version! A chance for everyone interested in mobile technology (smartphones and tablets) and it's potential with older/disabled communities to get together, discuss, collaborate, and look to create and design an ongoing community on this topic. It's a free event with free lunch, what's there to lose?! This one's being run by our very own Net2 Organiser Mel Findlater alongside her trusted colleague Adam. See you there? Details and sign up here.
Phew!! It's certainly going to be a busy month! Can't wait to see you all!
