Ok, I already explained my methodology, now let me submit my  votes....Its not in preference, I just tried to place them in random   order. Not that I didn't like other projects, it is simply an amazing list of projects, it was very difficult to select my  best 10...Anyway, here goes my list of 8, for the rest 2, I'm still thinking... 1. HIV ATLAS: Serving positively proud people

Liked their idea of networking people living with HIV/AIDS and facilitating effective interchange of community voices, key global policy forums for HIV and AIDS, Governments, Donor agencies, NGO Delegates and the perspectives of civil society. I think it is an important yet challening area to focus and any innovation in this
network would be a valuable investment. I'd like to see how they unfold their work in the near future.

2. Map 2.0 Geospatial Tools for Nonprofits and Humanitarian Relief:

Interesting initiative. By sharing the services of online mapping tools, map-based data management can improve program monitoring and evaluation process. Very much liked their approach of collaboration with other organizations and mapping the community
practices in GIS. Worth mentioning.

3.  Dgroups 2.0:

I know about this initiative. This space has already emerged as a space for collaboration and dialogue, with numerous development groups being involved into it. Dgroups 2.0 would certainly be a boost to their ongoing work.

4.  Freecycle.org

Interesting part is they tried to integrate waste management issues with global gift economy. I liked the idea of re-using a product (instead of throwing it away to add garbage) using Internet as a space. Entirely volunteers driven. Seems that they are active in different countries and need a multilingual support website.

5.  Social Source Commons (SSC)

SSC builds up this community around software and tools. They provide a support to software selection, use and support and also at the same time aggregrates information on "what's out there" and "who's using what", particularly for non-profit sector. Certainly deserves a recognition.

6. Freepledge
I liked their idea of integrating `online shopping into charitable acts, providing nonprofits with an innovative way to raise funds, empowering customers to support their nonprofits at no cost and helping retailers build a social responsible brand`. They have already connected a good number of retailers.

6.  Change.org

Networking social causes and building a platform that can connect likeminded people with their ideas, information and tools of action is quite interesting. They are making social networking, organizing, and advocacy tools available to nonprofits and social activists around the world- which is obviously an important service.

7.  An Anti-Genocide Community: Building the Political Will to End Genocide

This is an important cause to serve. I liked the idea of providing tools for community-based education and user-generated content to anti-genocide movement. They also have a system of decentralizing the participation - `by encouraging them to develop their own pledge for action, their own slideshow on the crisis, their own map of their impact on the network`.

8.  A Global Neighbour Network: NABUUR.com

Sounds interesting as it tries to establish a peer to peer relationship in between experts in the West with the villagers in the South. As per their language, the support includes `much more than providing knowledge: from the physical building of a hospital to the reframing of a problem; from ensuring that goods get through customs to finding transport for an international shipment, etc.` I would like to know more as to how they are doing that.
