An Offer to Innovation Award Nominees

Hi NET2,

This is just a quick blog entry to say that I'd be happy to work with any of the Innovation Fund nominees on a volunteer basis after this contest is over.

I've been super impressed to read about the amazing work that's planned and already underway. You're all creating social change over the web in one way or another, and that's the important part.

If any of the project coordinators would like help in getting started with a micro-philanthropy campaign (consisting of a fundraising goal, engaging text, some images, a few widgets, perhaps matching-funds, and a video), I'd love to lend a hand.

We'll choose the right group-fundraising / micro-philanthropy platform, and then take it from there.

Good luck to all of the nominees this week.

-Peter

PS -- For those of you that I met at the NTEN conference in Washington DC, thanks for making it so much fun. I'm looking forward to keeping the momentum going.

Hi Nina

Nina, you can contact me at peterdeitz (at) gmail.com

Sorry we didn't meet at NTEN!

I only made it for one day of the NTEN conference but wanted to thank you for your offer of assistance. We are definitely looking for new ways to use widgets and other tools to connect our social spaces and maximize our outreach with our loose social networks on the outer circle of our work. We know that many thousands are encountering our work on the web, on video social networks and other spaces but we do not have a good way to capture and track those new participants to bring them into this work in a meaningful way. Would you be willing to talk with me a bit and look at new technologies to implement that may help us build more bridges?

Best wishes to you in your work!
