Survey on Innovative Use of Technologies
Nice to meet you all! I've become aware of NetSquared during my research on activism and organizations using innovative communication tools, and Claire encouraged me to link my survey here for all of you to see (thank you!), so...
Dear NetSquared members, supporters and activists,
I am Piotr Konieczny, a researcher at University of Pittsburgh, Department of Sociology.
In my research of the use of communication technologies by movements and non-governmental organizations I found that your organization (NetSquared) is among the most innovative ones on the web. I would very much like to ask you for a few minutes of your time and invite you to take part in a survey. This survey is being send to only a few dozen of the most innovative organizations, so EACH INDIVIDUAL RESPONSE MATTERS A LOT!
Here is a link to the survey:
You are more then welcome to forward this survey to your colleges and other members/activists in your organization.
The purpose of this research is to gather information on whether and how new communication technology and tools are used and how they empower people.
There are no foreseeable risks nor benefits to you associated with this project. All responses are confidential. Your participation is voluntary.
You can see the preliminary results of this ongoing survey here: http://prokonsul.blogspot.com/2010/04/preeliminary-survey-results-of-ict-use.html
The results are VERY PRELIMINARY and will be updated as new replies are coming in (once again, each individual response matters a lot!). If you'd like to receive the update when the results from this very survey will be published, there will be an opportunity to do so at the end of the survey.
This study is conducted by Piotr Konieczny, who can be reached at pik1 at pitt dot edu at any time.
Thanks for your participation!
